    These Terms of Service govern your use of Rankad.ai (operated by Rankad AB, organization number 559551-8738, Sweden). By using our service, you agree to these terms.

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using Rankad.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our service.

    We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email with 30 days' notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

    2. Service Description

    Rankad.ai is an AI search optimization platform designed to help businesses improve their visibility in AI-powered search engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.

    Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE":

    • We do not guarantee specific rankings or results
    • We do not guarantee that AI engines will index your content
    • Features and functionality may change or be discontinued with notice
    • We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service

    3. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement. Our service is intended for business use. By registering, you represent that all information provided is accurate and current.

    4. Account Responsibilities

    • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
    • One account per user/organization (no account sharing)
    • You must provide a valid payment method
    • You are responsible for all activity under your account

    5. Pricing and Payment

    Current Plans (subject to change):

    • Core Plan: €495/month or €5,346/year
    • Pro Plan: €895/month or €9,660/year
    • Elite Plan: €1,495/month or €16,140/year

    Pricing Changes: We may change pricing with 30 days' email notice. Changes apply at your next renewal.

    Payment Terms: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy.

    Failed Payments: If payment fails, we may suspend or terminate your account after reasonable notice.

    6. Cancellation and Refunds

    • You may cancel your subscription at any time
    • Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing period
    • No refunds for partial months or unused time (except 30-day money-back guarantee)

    7. Intellectual Property

    Rankad.ai owns: The platform, software, algorithms, branding, and all related intellectual property.

    You own: Your data, content, and website information you provide to the service.

    Limited License: We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our service during your subscription. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works.

    8. Prohibited Use

    You may not:

    • Use the service for illegal purposes
    • Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to access our source code
    • Violate third-party AI engine terms of service
    • Send spam, malware, or malicious content
    • Make excessive API calls beyond rate limits
    • Share account credentials with others
    • Use the service to harm, harass, or defame others

    9. Service Availability

    Uptime Goal: We aim for 99% uptime but make no guarantees.

    Maintenance: We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice.

    No Liability: We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions except as required by law.

    10. Disclaimers and Warranties

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

    We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

    • Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
    • Accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service
    • Specific results or rankings
    • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
    • Security or freedom from viruses

    AI Search Engines: We have no control over third-party AI search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.). We cannot guarantee they will index, rank, or display your content.

    11. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY SWEDISH LAW:

    Rankad.ai and Rankad AB (org. nr. 559551-8738) shall not be liable for:

    • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
    • Lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities
    • Data loss or corruption
    • Service interruptions or downtime
    • Third-party actions (AI engines, hosting providers, etc.)
    • Force majeure events beyond our reasonable control

    Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or 10,000 SEK, whichever is lower.

    Consumer Protection: Nothing in this limitation excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Swedish law (Konsumentköplagen).

    12. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rankad.ai, Rankad AB (org. nr. 559551-8738), and our affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

    13. Termination

    By You: You may cancel your account at any time. Cancellation is effective at the end of your billing period.

    By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

    • Violate these Terms of Service
    • Fail to pay fees
    • Engage in prohibited activities
    • Abuse or harm our service

    Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to the service ends immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable period. No refunds for early termination by us due to your violation.

    14. Governing Law and Disputes

    Governing Law: These Terms are governed by Swedish law (svensk rätt), without regard to conflict of law principles. Swedish language version shall prevail in case of discrepancies.

    Jurisdiction: Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Skövde, Sweden (Skövde tingsrätt), or in the district where you reside if you are a consumer under Swedish consumer protection laws.

    Informal Resolution: Before filing any claim, please contact us at kontakt@rankad.ai to attempt to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.

    Consumer Rights: If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights under Swedish consumer protection laws (Konsumentköplagen, Marknadsföringslagen).

    15. Service Modifications

    We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations.

    16. Entire Agreement

    These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and other referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rankad.ai. These terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

    Important Legal Disclaimer

    No Guarantee of Results: Rankad AB provides AI visibility optimization tools and services on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no guarantees, warranties, or representations regarding:

    • Specific improvements in search engine rankings, AI engine visibility, or website traffic
    • Achievement of specific business outcomes, revenue increases, or ROI
    • Compatibility with all third-party AI engines, search platforms, or technologies
    • Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of our services
    • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any data, analytics, or recommendations provided

    External Factors: AI engines, search algorithms, and ranking factors are controlled by third parties (e.g., Google, OpenAI, Perplexity) and change frequently without notice. Rankad AB has no control over these external systems and cannot be held liable for changes, updates, or decisions made by these platforms.

    User Responsibility: Results depend on numerous factors including your content quality, website technical health, competitive landscape, industry dynamics, and proper implementation of our recommendations. You are solely responsible for your use of our services and any decisions made based on our tools, data, or guidance.

    Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Swedish law (Produktansvarslagen, Konsumentköplagen), Rankad AB and its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of our services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
