    This Acceptable Use Policy outlines prohibited activities and behaviors when using Rankad.ai. Violation of this policy may result in account suspension or termination.

    Policy Overview

    By using Rankad.ai, you agree to use our service responsibly and lawfully. This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all users.

    Purpose: To protect Rankad.ai, our users, and the broader community from harmful, illegal, or abusive activities.

    You may not:

    • Use our service for phishing or social engineering attacks
    • Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
    • Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) attacks
    • Use bots or automated tools to abuse the service

    Platform Abuse

    You may not:

    • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from Rankad.ai
    • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
    • Bypass security measures or access controls
    • Make excessive API calls beyond rate limits
    • Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans
    • Share account credentials with unauthorized users

    Third-Party Terms Violations

    You may not:

    • Violate the terms of service of AI search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, etc.)
    • Manipulate AI engines in ways that violate their guidelines
    • Use Rankad.ai to conduct activities prohibited by third-party platforms

    Misleading or Deceptive Practices

    You may not:

    • Impersonate others (individuals, companies, or brands)
    • Provide false or misleading information to Rankad.ai or AI engines
    • Create fake reviews or testimonials
    • Misrepresent your identity, business, or intent

    Harm to Rankad.ai or Others

    You may not:

    • Interfere with or disrupt our service or infrastructure
    • Overload our systems with excessive requests
    • Harm, harass, or defame other users
    • Violate the privacy or rights of others

    2. Rate Limits and Fair Use

    API Rate Limits: To ensure fair access for all users, we enforce rate limits on API calls and service usage.

    • Excessive usage beyond your plan limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension
    • Automated tools must respect rate limits and use reasonable request intervals
    • We reserve the right to adjust limits to maintain service quality

    Fair Use: Even within plan limits, usage must be reasonable and not designed to abuse or strain our infrastructure.

    3. Enforcement and Consequences

    We take violations seriously. Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, we may:

    Step 1: Warning

    For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning and request that you stop the prohibited activity immediately.

    Step 2: Temporary Suspension

    For repeated or moderate violations, we may temporarily suspend your account while we investigate. You will retain access to your data.

    Step 3: Permanent Termination

    For serious violations (illegal activity, severe abuse, repeated offenses), we may permanently terminate your account without refund. Your data may be deleted.

    Immediate Termination: We reserve the right to terminate accounts immediately without warning for severe violations such as illegal activity, CSAM, terrorism, or significant harm to our service or users.

    No Refunds: Accounts terminated for policy violations are not eligible for refunds. See our Refund Policy.

    4. Investigation and Cooperation

    • We may investigate suspected violations by reviewing account activity, content, and usage patterns
    • We may cooperate with law enforcement and provide information if required by law
    • We may preserve evidence of violations for legal or safety purposes
    • You agree to cooperate with investigations if requested

    5. Reporting Abuse

    If you become aware of violations:

    • Report suspected violations to kontakt@rankad.ai with subject "Report Abuse"
    • Include details: user, website, description of violation, evidence (screenshots, links)
    • We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe
    • Reporter identity is kept confidential when possible

    6. Your Responsibilities

    • Content: You are responsible for all content you optimize and promote using Rankad.ai
    • Compliance: Ensure your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations
    • Third-Party Terms: Respect the terms of service of AI search engines and other platforms
    • Monitoring: Monitor your account for unauthorized access or suspicious activity
    • Prompt Action: If you believe your account is being used in violation of this policy, contact us immediately

    7. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rankad.ai, Rankad AB (org. nr. 559551-8738), and our affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of this Acceptable Use Policy. See our Terms of Service for full details.

    8. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in laws, regulations, or our service. Material changes will be notified via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

    No Guarantee of Results: Rankad AB provides AI visibility optimization tools and services on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no guarantees, warranties, or representations regarding:

    • Specific improvements in search engine rankings, AI engine visibility, or website traffic
    • Achievement of specific business outcomes, revenue increases, or ROI
    • Compatibility with all third-party AI engines, search platforms, or technologies
    • Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of our services
    • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any data, analytics, or recommendations provided

    External Factors: AI engines, search algorithms, and ranking factors are controlled by third parties (e.g., Google, OpenAI, Perplexity) and change frequently without notice. Rankad AB has no control over these external systems and cannot be held liable for changes, updates, or decisions made by these platforms.

    User Responsibility: Results depend on numerous factors including your content quality, website technical health, competitive landscape, industry dynamics, and proper implementation of our recommendations. You are solely responsible for your use of our services and any decisions made based on our tools, data, or guidance.

    Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Swedish law (Produktansvarslagen, Konsumentköplagen), Rankad AB and its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of our services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
