The GDPR grants you the following rights regarding your personal data:
1. Right to Be Informed
What it means: You have the right to know how your personal data is collected, used, stored, and shared.
We fulfill this by: Our Privacy Policy clearly explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and who we share it with.
No action needed: This information is always available to you.
2. Right of Access (Data Subject Access Request)
What it means: You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.

- Data retention periods
- Third parties with access to your data

3. Right to Rectification
What it means: You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
How to request:
- Update information directly in your account settings

Response time: Immediate (account settings) or within 30 days (email requests)
4. Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten")
What it means: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances.
When it applies:
- Data is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected
- You withdraw consent and there's no other legal basis
- You object to processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds
- Data was unlawfully processed
Exceptions: We may retain data if required by law (e.g., Swedish accounting law requires 3 years of financial records) or to establish/defend legal claims.

5. Right to Restrict Processing
What it means: You have the right to limit how we use your data in certain situations.
When it applies:
- You contest the accuracy of the data (while we verify it)
- Processing is unlawful but you don't want data deleted
- We no longer need the data but you need it for a legal claim
- You've objected to processing (while we verify legitimate grounds)
Effect: We will store the data but not use it (except with your consent, for legal claims, or to protect others' rights).

6. Right to Data Portability
What it means: You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and transfer it to another service.
What you'll receive: JSON file containing:
- Account information
- Website data and optimization settings
- Usage history
- Any other data you've provided

Response time: Within 30 days
7. Right to Object
What it means: You have the right to object to processing of your personal data in certain situations.
When it applies:
- Processing based on legitimate interests (we must stop unless we have compelling grounds)
- Direct marketing (we must always stop immediately)
- Processing for research or statistical purposes

8. Rights Related to Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
What it means: You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that significantly affects you.
Our position: We do not currently use automated decision-making or profiling that significantly affects our users. Our AI optimization recommendations are advisory only and require human review and implementation.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Step 1: Contact Us

- Subject line: "GDPR [Type of Request]" (e.g., "GDPR Access Request")
- Your full name and email address associated with your account
- Clear description of your request
- Any relevant details or specific data you're concerned about
Step 2: Identity Verification
To protect your privacy, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. This may include confirming account details or providing additional identification.
Step 3: Response
We will respond to your request within 30 days (may extend to 60 days for complex requests - we'll inform you if this is the case).
No Fee (Usually)
Free Requests: Most GDPR requests are processed free of charge.
Exceptions: We may charge a reasonable fee or refuse the request if it is:
- Manifestly unfounded (e.g., clearly intended to cause disruption)
- Excessive (e.g., frequent repetitive requests)
We will inform you before charging any fee and explain the reason.
How to Complain
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data or GDPR request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Swedish law (Produktansvarslagen, Konsumentköplagen), Rankad AB and its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of our services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
